Our “Carbon Road Magnificent Seven” tour will explore the region, staying in a fantastic selection of cyclist friendly hotels, where you can all unwind after your daily ride through the region of Murcia.
Our exclusive offer is valid for travel in January to April, & September, October and November, when the weather here is warm and sunny, whilst the rest of Europe is colder, wetter or snow covered.

Arrival with optional ride
Arriving at Alicante or Murcia International airport where we will be waiting to take you to your hotel by private transfer.
On your arrival we will begin by setting up your carbon road bike in preparation for the “Carbon Road Magnificent Seven”. On completion of the bike setup you have the option to relax and explore your new surrounding on foot or maybe take the opportunity to jump on your bike. We have optional route if you feel like heading out and exploring the area, whilst checking your bike and make any final adjustments.
The routes for your tour will be as follows with some flexibility to amend prior to completing the booking process if required.
Optional ride
Optional route on arrival, Los Alcázares, La Manga, Portman and Cartagena, distance 65km and elevation gain 526m.
Day 2 – Collado de los Ginovinos & Embalse de la Pedrera
On the second day of the tour we venture onto a Vuelta de Murcia route, riding out of Los Alcázares and head out into the agricultural area through the orange groves to Collado de los Ginovinos & Embalse de la Pedrera, distance 87km, elevation gain 925m. (this route can be extended to make a ride of around 115km and 1,000m elevation gain).
Day 3 – Cartagena, Alto de el Cedacero and Puerto de Mazarrón
Having enjoyed you first evening in Los Alcázares, it’s time to get those legs spinning to the beautiful port of Cartagena and its roman heritage. From here we take a route used in the Vuelta a España 2018 Day 6 towards Puerto de Mazarrón known as Alto de El Cedacero. This route also gives the opportunity to enjoy a local tapas lunch and visit the Torre de Santa Elena in the La Azohia bay, before finally making your way to Puerto de Mazarrón and a well-known climb called La Cuesta, distance 126km and elevation gain 999m.
Day 4 – Ride from Los Alcázares to the Cresta del Gallo and Collado de la Ginovinos
Our route today will take us over towards Murcia, where we will head for the Vuelta de Murcia famed Cresta del Gallo climb with fantastic view across the city of Murcia and beyond. This route will challenge your climbing ability with distance 110km and elevation gain of 1,199m.
Day 5 – Rebate
Something a little more relaxed for day five, or as we like to call this a recovery ride to an area known as the Rebate near San Miguel de Salinas. This ride will assist in your preparation for the days to follow in the Sierra Espuña, with the distance of 70km with an elevation gain of 562m.

Day 6 – Sierra Espuña National Park
Transfer to the Sierra Espuña National Park to climb the Collado Bermejo, taking in the opportunities to stop at the viewing points is optional as we work our way to the 1530m summit. Today’s ride you will be from Los Alcázares to the Sierra Espuña with the ride distance 127km and 1,833m elevation gain.
Day 7 – Cañada de Gallego
For your penultimate ride we make one last trip to the Mediterranean coast to the Cañada de Gallego with a distance of 154km and 1,767m elevation,
Day 8 – Totana, Pliego, El Berro and Alhama de Murcia
Having climbed the Collado Bermejo today it’s time to explore the rolling countryside of the Sierra Espuña with the route taking you through the outskirts of the regional park, distance 90km and 1,360m Elevation gain.
The total distance for the above trip is 857km, and total Elevation gain of 9246m.
On completion of your last ride, its time for a few beers and reflection on the tour in the perfect setting of the monastery gardens. before taking a shower and preparing for your airport transfer.

You will want to know that your bike is in great condition and that you won’t have any mechanical problems during your holiday. We keep all of our bikes extremely well serviced and maintained, but in the very unlikely event you have a mechanical issue we are here to help. Our emergency service number will be issued to you for a representative to come out and replace or repair your bike (not including basic maintenance such as slipped chains or punctures).
