Great news that the region of Murcia again features in the first week of the Vuelta a España 2021, with stage 8 finishing in.La Manga Del Mar, and stage 9 starting from Puerto Lumbreras.

This is also the final season and last ever Grand Tour for local legend Alejandro Valverde, who will relish the honour to compete through the region of Murcia.

Take a look at the official website for race timings of the route, so you can support the riders as they enter the Mar Menor bay, at San Pedro Del Pinatar around 14:40. From here they will head towards San Javier (14:49) , Los Alcázares (14:57), Torre Pacheco (15:09) before making there way to Cartagena (15:50). In Cartagena the riders will contest the “Sprint Bonificado before continuing towards Portman (16:14) and again heading along the shores of the Mar Menor. If you can’t get to see the race through here then the grand finale to the finish line at La Manga Del Mar will be around 17:20.
