What types of bikes do you provide?

We specialise in high-end carbon road bikes only. Our fleet includes the Focus Izalco Max 8.9 and the BMC Teammachine SLR Five, both fitted with compact gearing (50/34T with 11–34 cassette) and 28 mm tyres.

How do I choose the right bike size?

We match you to the correct frame using your height and inseam. Focus sizes range from 50–61 cm, BMC from 47–58 cm. Each comes with factory crank and stem lengths.

Can I use my own pedals or saddle?

Yes. Simply bring them along and we will fit them at delivery free of charge. All bikes include a GPS mount and Murcia Bike Hire branded bidon.

Is a helmet included?

Helmet use is mandatory in Spain. You can bring your own, or we can supply one for €10 per week if requested when booking.

What is the security deposit?

A €250 deposit per bike is required. This is processed as a payment at the start of the hire and refunded in full on safe and timely return. Customers are responsible for theft, loss, or damage beyond normal wear.

Can I ride the bikes in races or triathlons?

No. Use of Murcia Bike Hire bikes in organised races, triathlons, or time trials is strictly prohibited.

What happens if I return the bike late?

If you are more than 1 hour late, a €25 fee applies. Beyond 24 hours, additional charges apply, including staff time and compensation for unavailability.

Do you deliver and collect bikes?

Yes, we deliver and collect across Murcia and Alicante provinces. Costs vary depending on postcode. Delivery and collection times are confirmed once your booking is scheduled.

Do you offer cycling holidays as well as rentals?

Yes. We offer award-winning holiday packages including accommodation, transfers, carbon bike hire, GPX routes and support. Packages are based on two people sharing 3★–4★ hotels.

What is your cancellation policy?

60–22 days before hire → 50% of hire value. 22–15 days before hire → 75%. 14–0 days before hire → 100%. Booking changes within 21 days incur a €20 administration fee.

Do I have to rent bikes from MBH?

Most guests do, but bringing your own is fine—we’ll still plan routes, stays and logistics.

Can you arrange airport transfers?

Yes—Alicante (ALC) and Murcia (RMU), sized appropriately for bikes and luggage.

Guided or self-guided?

Choose GPX only, some guided days, or fully guided with a support car.

Online Booking or Check Availability Our carbon road bikes of choice are the BMC Teammachine SLR and Focus Izalco Max 8.9, both fitted with Shimano 105 Di2—ideal for exploring the Costa Blanca on premium performance bikes. How to Book Your Road Bike Online: Select your frame size from the dropdown menu. Choose your hire dates (from and to). Enter your seat height measurement (from centre crank to top of the saddle). Specify your preferred delivery and collection times. We will confirm your scheduled slots after booking. Add to basket and continue shopping for pedals, helmets, nutrition, water bottles, and more. Secure your booking with a 30% deposit payment at checkout. Check your email for the order confirmation. Balance payment, security deposit, and passport ID check are completed at delivery.
