Our “Carbon Road Elevation ” is based in Sierra Espuña at the 4*Jardines de la Santa Hotel, which is a fantastic location for a cycling holiday or training camp. You have arrived in cycling heaven, as the Sierra Espuña regional park is guaranteed to provide many happy cycling memories with its challenging routes, stunning vistas, topped off with the peace and tranquility of your hotel, which is a 16th century monastery sat in the heart of the countryside. What an amazing place to unwind after exploring the surrounding areas many road cycling routes and challenging climbs.

Arrival with optional ride
Arriving at Alicante or Murcia International airport where we will be waiting to take you to your hotel by private transfer.
At the hotel our first activity is setting up your carbon road bike in preparation for the “Carbon Road Elevation” tour. Once completed you have the option to relax and explore your new surrounding on foot or maybe take the opportunity to jump on your bike and head out onto the quiet roads in the regional park. This is a great way to start your trip by getting familiarised/ acclimatised to the area, check the bike setup and make any final adjustments before heading into the challenges of day 2 and beyond.
Our optional ride GPX offers a 42km route with 578m of elevation gain to get the blood pumping.
Collado Bermejo
Having enjoyed your first evening in cycling heaven, its time to get those legs spinning!
The only way is up today as we enter the Sierra Espuña Regional Park to climb the Collado Bermejo. Taking in the opportunities to stop at the viewing points is optional as we work our way to the 1200m summit.
Pilego, Gebas, Alhama de Murcia and Totana
Well rested after the exertions of the Collado Bermejo, its time to mount up and explore more of the regional park.
Today’s route will take you around the mountain, but don’t be misled into thinking this will be a flat ride!
With a total distance of 80km this route will add another 1100m of elevation gain to the 1200m the Strava stats for this trip are already starting to look pretty impressive…..
Lets Go!
Mazarron, Canada de Gallego, Los Conventos and Totana
After spending the last few days in the Sierra Espuña Regional Park, its time to head for the mediterranean coast for more great cycling on the quiet roads of the Murcia region.
Our final route provides a challenge in 131km distance and 1700m elevation.
On completion of today’s route you will definitely enjoy a few well earned beers at the hotel bar talking about the final days route and experiences. Sadly for those on the 3 night package this is the moment when you have to pack your suitcase and take your private transfer back to the airport for your journey home.

Emergency Assistance
You will want to know that your bike is in great condition and that you won’t have any mechanical problems during your holiday. We keep all of our bikes extremely well serviced and maintained, but in the very unlikely event you have a mechanical issue we are here to help. Our emergency service number will be issued to you for a representative to come out and replace or repair your bike (not including basic maintenance such as slipped chains or punctures).
