Carbon Road Tour De Murcia - Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival and optional ride
Arrival – Check in to Los Alcázares Hotel 4* B&B – Optional GPX route to ride route on arrival, Los Alcázares, La Manga, Portman and Cartagena, distance 65km and elevation gain 526m.
Day 2 – GPX Route for ride from Los Alcázares to the Cresta del Gallo and Collado de la Ginovinos.
Today’s ride will take us over to Murcia, where we will head for the Vuelta de Murcia famed Cresta del Gallo climb with fantastic view across the city of Murcia and beyond. This route will challenge your climbing ability with distance 110km and elevation gain of 1,199m.
Day 3 – GPX Route for ride to Cartagena, Alto de el Cedacero and Puerto de Mazarrón Having enjoyed you first evening in Los Alcázares, it’s time to get those legs spinning to the beautiful port of Cartagena and its roman heritage. From here we take a route used in the Vuelta a España 2018 Day 6 towards Puerto de Mazarrón known as Alto de El Cedacero. This route also gives the opportunity to enjoy a local tapas lunch and visit the Torre de Santa Elena in the La Azohia bay, before finally making your way to Puerto de Mazarrón and a well-known climb called La Cuesta, distance 126km and elevation gain 999m.
Day 4 – Los Alcázares to the Sierra Espuña (Collado Bermejo & Alto de Espuña)
Check out of the hotel and before loading the GPX route for today’s ride from Los Alcázares to the Sierra Espuña with the ride distance 127km and 1,833m elevation gain. The option of a transfer is available for an addition cost to the Sierra Espuña National Park to climb the Collado Bermejo. Whilst climbing you can take the opportunities to stop at the viewing points is optional as we work our way to the 1530m summit.

Day 5 – Totana, Pliego, El Berro and Alhama de Murcia,
For todays route, maybe having climbed the Collado Bermejo and Alto de Espuña, it’s time to explore the rolling countryside of the Regional Park with the route taking you through the outskirts of the regional park, distance 90km and 1,360m Elevation gain.
Day 6 – Cañada de Gallego Mediterranean coast
On your day you have the option of a GPX route to ride to the Cañada de Gallego Mediterranean coast with a distance of 154km and 1,767m elevation. Sadly its time to checkout of the hotel and take you transfer to the airport for your flight home.
Late checkout is available from the hotel for and additional charge paid locally of €20 per room.

All of our bikes are in great condition, so you won’t have any mechanical problems during your holiday. We keep all of our bikes extremely well serviced and maintained, but in the very unlikely event you have a mechanical issue we are here to help. Our emergency service number will be issued to you for a representative to come out and replace or repair your bike (not including basic maintenance such as slipped chains or punctures).
