Having received carbon road bike hire from us, our visiting cycling club members enjoyed their first day ride around the Mar Menor Bay.

The route took them to La Manga Club, Portman, La Union and finally made their way back to Los Alcázares.

Today they have decided to tap into some local knowledge by asking if I would like to join them. So we planned a longer route through the orange groves to the Cabeza de la Plata. From here we will descend and towards the reservoir near Torremendo.

Here we enjoyed the obligatory coffee shop stop to refuel with local tapas and refreshment.

For the final leg of our ride we made our way back towards Los Alcázares via Lo Romero, El Mirador, Dolores and Roda village.

One more stop before home is a beach from bar for a well earned cerveza or two!
