    Description

    For our “Carbon Road Tour de Murcia” you’ll explore the region and stay in a fantastic selection of cyclist friendly hotels where you can all unwind after your daily ride exploring the region of Murcia. Our exclusive offer is valid for travel in September, October and November and February to May, when the weather here is warm and sunny, whilst the rest of Europe is colder, wetter or snow covered. With thousands of kilometres of quiet roads and great routes, cyclists of all abilities can have an incredible cycling holiday here in the Murcia, Spain.

    Suggested Itinerary**

    Day 1 – Arrival and optional ride

    Arrival – Check in to Jardines De La Santa Hotel 4* Half Board, and the opportunity to ride around the around the Sierra Espuña Regional Park.

    Day 2  – GPX Route for ride Collado Bermejo and Alto Espuna

    Today’s ride will take us over to Murcia, where we will head for the Vuelta de Murcia famed climb of the Collado Bermejo and Alto Espuña, taking in the opportunities to stop at the viewing points is optional as we work our way to the 1530m summit. This features on La Vuelta 3rd September 2023 in a stage route from Cartagena to Caravaca de la Cruz.

    Day 3 – GPX Route for ride to Los Alcázares via Puerto de Mazarrón, Alto de el Cedacero and Cartagena

    Having enjoyed 2 nights in the Sierra Espuña, it’s time to get those legs spinning with todays destination of Los Alcázares on the shores of the Mar Menor lagoon. Taking you up the coast from Puerto de Mazarron to the  beautiful port of Cartagena and its roman heritage. From here you will make your way to Los Alcázares.

    Day 4 – GPX Route for ride from Los Alcázares to Collado de los Ginovinos and Embalse de la Pedrera

    For your penultimate ride will take you from Los Alcázares you’ll head out into the agricultural area through the orange groves to the Collado de los Ginovinos & Embalse de la Pedrera.

    Before you head back to the hotel to pack for departure its always great to finish a weekender at a beach bar for a well earned cerveza or two!

    Day 5 – Los Alcazares to La Manga, Portman and La Union

    For your final ride ride we make one last trip around the Mar Menor lagoon to the Mediterranean coast.

    On completion of your last ride, its time for a few beers and reflection on the tour in the perfect setting of a beach Chiringuito or local bar before taking a shower and preparing for your airport transfer.
