Cycling in El Campello

As cycling tourism continues to flow, we have found ourselves increasing our visits into the Alicante province, with more new customers finding our website and social media channels.

After initial enquiry via our website, which quickly progressed to completing the booking,  it was great to finally meet Mark and Fliss in El Campello. Whilst delivering/ setting up  the Cervélo R-Series bikes for them, it was a great opportunity to chat with them and get a feeling for what they wanted to achieve from a cycling perspective.

El Campello whilst being situated on the coast just above Alicante, has a stunning backdrop of mountains, which is an amazing area to explore for cyclist. With places such as Castalla, Tibi, Ibi and Alcoy, close to the Sierra Mariola and Font Rioja National Park which are waiting to be explored! 

To help with planning their cycling adventure, we provided GPX routes to upload to Garmin and follow or to use as a blueprint from which to plan there own routes. We have many GPX routes that are saved on our Strava ready to share we your looking for some inspiration either prior to arrival, on delivery or even during your stay. Its so easy to WhatsApp or email a file to a customer and them be able to upload via applications such as Garmin Connect. 

If you are thinking of visiting this area, start by looking at the local maps or the routes we have included in the gallery, you will see the number of named climbs in the area such as the Carresqueta and Tudons. This province has a rich heritage and gastronomical traditions that are supported by the locally produced wines, contrasting landscapes, all of which combine make the perfect ingredients for a cycling holiday location, and its fair to say Mark and Fliss were definitely in a cycling heaven!
